ReplyDeleteI've already heard some of those neo-cons complaining about the book. Good job! Go get 'em! Bunch of damn whiners.
ReplyDeleteThat whole tour of Washington sounds amazing. And with David Small sketching everything! And working with Senator Kennedy! And what a nice dog. That whole visit would have blown me away. Excellent.
And you can still learn to knit, too. (I can knit, but can't do any of the fancy stuff, and I can't remember how to cast off the stitches when then item's finished. But I have my great-grandma's wooden knitting needles, so that's kind of nice.)
Your article in From the Editor's Desk is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI admit, I didn't have high hopes when I heard that a senator was writing a children's book (even though I love Teddy!) But then I read the starred review in PW, followed by your article, and now I can't wait to read it.
Quite the P.R. person, you are.

Portuguese Water Dogs are like that. :)
ReplyDeleteThey want to be with you because you are their crew
I have to admit that the book didn't appeal to me when I first heard about it. Now after reading your article, I can't wait to get my hands on a copy.
