Some True-Life Must-Reads
This Iranian election drama playing out now is infuriating, awe-inspiring (in the bravery of the protestors), heartbreaking, terrifying. Please follow the reports on Andrew Sullivan and the Twitter feeds at #Iranelection, @persiankiwi and other English-language Iranian Twitterers listed here (most other Internet and SMS communication seems to be down), and wear green on Monday to show support for the revolution.
Wow, thank you, Cheryl. To see history as it's happening in real time is staggering.

Cheryl,
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these links. I am speechless. My thoughts and prayers are with the Iranian people as they stand together for their freedom.
Iranian authorities are exerting control over the flow of information, increasing Internet filtering in an effort to silence the opposition. If you are moved by the protests and you blog, post about it so opposition voices can be heard despite the crack down.
ReplyDeleteAnd I've totally changed my mind about the uselessness of Twitter. :)
yeah truly a great site.I really enjoyed my visit.
